Bielefeld don exits #3 – Event Profile
What Can You Expect From This Event:
Here we go again with another high quality event: “Bielefield don exits #3“.
The name is a mix-up of the famous smash-phrase “Tiers don’t exist” (or rather the deliberatly misspelled version “Tires don exits”) and a satirical story from the early days of the internet called the “Bielefeld Conspiracy“.
“Bielefield don exits” goes into the third round. In early april 2014 BDE#2 took a swing at the german smash scene as it turned out to be a very stacked tournament with a lot of german top players. Being the successor of such, BDE#3 is confronted with high expectations. But yet again the hosts SchlimmShady and Dunch managed to lure in the best of the best of german smash in order to guarantee exciting and high quality gameplay.
Increasing the capacity to 32 players and making it a three day event, the BDE series has grown from being a small local into a north-western german regional.
Featured Players:
By now you should have heard of the man that is considered one of the big players even in the global perspective of competitive smash. Right after placing 4th at Republic of Fighters #3 in Paris last weekend, Ice is back to show again that he is the undisputed champion in germany. Even though there is little doubt that he will come in first, the competition is rough enough to give him some challenge, who knows, maybe even bring down the titan from his throne.
By placing 2nd at Osmash#4 and 13th at RoF#3, Däumling has reassured his place as the second strongest smasher in germany. This incredibly ambitious player has shown before that he is a force to be reckoned with. Lately he accounted a strong improvement in consistency throughout his playstyle and wobbling, making him even more dangerous. Placing higher respectivly than Tomber and Alpha Dash, two of the strongest IC-players in Europe hailing from Denmark and the UK, many wouldn’t argue that Däumling is the best Ice Climbers player in Europe at the moment.
Reaper is quite unknown outside of the german community as he almost never travels abroad to any events. Yet, he currently is considered the best Marth player in germany and plays a lot of other characters at a high level as well. At the last BDE he competed with Falco and Samus besides his Marth, placing 3rd after Ice and Dancingqueen. This makes him a very versatile player and an even more dangerous threat.
Sixx has graced us with his presence very sparingly in the last couple of weeks. He forfeited his matches in the bracket of OSmash#4 and along with a loss against Usleon in pools his current strength is not easy to be determined. Nevertheless, we are excited to witness the formidable gameplay of this superb Link main who never seizes to amaze.
