Event Profile: SiP (Smash im Pott)

What can you expect from the event?

Smash im Pott is a german national sized Event in Duisburg (west Germany) hosted by Purple~H, Billy McBillig and Hure mit Herz. The tournament features mainly Project M and is limited up to 100 persons. Super Smash Bros Melee and Brawl are side events.

Are there noteworthy players attending?

There are quite a few for each game. Melee players include: Ice, Sixx, Timi, Däumling, Dr. Dead, Usleon, ZetTroxX and Yomi.

Notworthy Project M players include: quiKsilver, Relinquished and Tboy.

Ice is the undisputed german Melee champion and contender for the top spot in Project M. Since he switched from maining Marth, Sheik and Fox to only playing Sheik in tournaments he managed to get some spectacular placings at european and american Events making him #1 in Europe and top 15 worldwide.

Sixx

Sixx is a rising Link player from western Germany who is well known for his incredible punishment game. He pulled of unexpected victories against european top players Zgetto and Faab at the last dutch tournament and is cosidered as one of the strongest player in the german region and might as well be the best Link player worldwide.

Timi

Timi is a constant force to be reckoned with. This extremely technical Falco player from Austria is not only known for his impressive Combo game but also for utilizing every option available in Falcos repertoire. In PM he is also most likely the best ROB in Germany at the moment.

Däumling

Melee: Ice Climbers

Däumling might as well be one of the most consistent players in the german scene, regularly achieving top spots at all tournaments he attends and being one of the few people to take games of Ice. He plays Wario in PM and Ice Climbers in Melee and has lately incorporated Wobbling into his gameplay making his grabs even deadlier.

ZetTroxX

ZetTroxX is a very good Falco player who sadly has suffered from fluctuating results throughout the last years. Being well known for his extremely campy playstyle he can certainly be a contender for any top spot if his game is on point.

Yomi

Yomi  might be entitled the current german Project M champion, scraping out wins in Grand Finals against Ice on two different occasions. In Melee he has secured his spot right behind the german top players being the division between the “best” and the “good” players for a long time, hoping to finally break through.
